時折織成 -Weaving Records│Toki Ori Ori Nasu -Weaving Records［Installation］

台の上に置かれたオープンリール式テープレコーダーが再生されて低音が流れ、磁気テープがアクリル容器へと落ちていく。容器内に溜まっていくテープは時間の経過とともに折り重なり、独特の模様を空間に織り込んでいく。容器の中にテープが積もると、今度はテープが音を読み取りながら高速で巻き上がり、低音と同じ信号が音楽として読み取れることがわかる。これまでの模様は消滅し、再び新しい模様が織り成されていく。
In this work, while a reel-to-reel tape recorder placed on pedestals plays low frequency sound recorded on the tape, the magnetic tape falls down into an acrylic receptacle. The tape that accumulates in the container piles up as time passes by and weaves a unique pattern in the space. When the tape stacks up in the container over time, the tape recorder starts to rewind the tape at high speed, this time revealing that the same signal that generated the low frequency sound can be read as a musical piece. The previous pattern disappears and another pattern will start to be woven.
